You buy upgrades with stardust, and they never reset. The menu says so: "spend stardust to grow faster. a star keeps your upgrades and stardust." There are seven upgrades in total.

Best order to buy upgrades

  1. Growth has the biggest effect on how fast you reach each star. Always keep it your highest upgrade.
  2. Luck, for a few levels. More finds means more growth and speed boosts to equip.
  3. Stamina is cheap and maxes out at level 10. Stronger boosts help you counter threats.
  4. Magnet means less steering. It pays off once you reach crowded city areas.
  5. Speed helps on the fastest-run leaderboards.
  6. Start size is expensive, but every run starts bigger. Buy it once you have spare stardust after several stars.

Where stardust comes from

  • Rolling things up. The CLAIM button on the right fills as you play.
  • Selling finds.
  • Index entries.
  • Events. Rescuing what aliens beam up pays 2x stardust, and zombies are "packed with stardust".
  • Passes: 2x stardust (R$399) and VIP (+15%).
  • Robux stardust pouches, which get bigger the more stars you have (see the shop).

The space banner

Since the Oct 23 update, once you can leave Earth a "SPACE IS OPEN" banner sits at the top of the upgrades list. It points you to the space menu.
